Dorothy, Florence’s friend. Only slightly less eccentric. 60s/70s
Maria, Florence’s Mexican cook and maid, can’t speak a word of English. Any age.
Miss Verrinder-Gorge, an American lady, 50s-70s. (Only in one scene, but important part as one of Florence’s detractors)
St Clair, Florence’s English boyfriend, 60s.
Cosme McMoon, a pianist, American, early 30s. (Ability to play the piano desirable but not essential).

A reading for this production will be held on Wednesday 7th January 2009 7.45pmThis is a play that will be familiar to anyone who has seen the sixties film with Dustin Hoffman and also starring Anne Bancroft as the infamous Mrs Robinson.
Characters:
| Benjamin Braddock |
Early Twenties |
| Mrs Robinson |
40s - 50 |
| Mr Robinson |
40s - 50 |
| Elaine Robinson |
late teens / early twenties |
| Mr Braddock |
40s - 50s |
| Mrs Braddock |
40s - 50s |
| Stripper |
20s |
| Hotel Clerk |
|
| Psychiatrist |
|
| Wedding Guests |
|
| Priest |
|
The small roles can be doubled up for example the priest and the psychiatrist, and the wedding guests and the men can be doubled by the company, unless of course we have some aspiring men and women who would like to be heard more than seen.
The play is set in America, so we must have plausible accents please. There are also some scenes of a sexual nature (as they say on the telly) but these will be very tastefully handled. Come and have a read.
